River Falls is
"The City on the Kinni"
River Falls is situated on the beautiful Kinnickinnic River only a short drive from the Twin Cities. The Kinnickinnic River is a class one trout stream. River Falls is comprised of 15,000 people and is home to the University of Wisconsin-River Falls with an enrollment of 6,100 students.
The city of River Falls was first settled in 1848 and the original village, "The Village of Kinnickinnic" was started in 1854.
River Falls is home to many great parks and recreaction opportunities. The various parks around town have playgrounds, a swimming pool, soccer fields, baseball/softball diamonds, basketball courts, mountain biking trails, disc golf, volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, gazebos, and several walking trails.
