River Falls Emergency Medical Services
EMT-Basic classes are held annually August through December. Classes are usually two evenings per week from 6-10pm at CVTC in River Falls. Occasional spring classes are also held depending on the number of people interested. Contact the ambulance office for further information regarding upcoming EMT classes.
If you are interested in riding along to see if EMS is for you, please download a ride along waiver form and return it to the ambulance station. You should then download the ride along letter for instructions. Riders can ride anytime between 8am and 10pm.

River Falls EMS is a progressive department providing pre-hospital emergency medical services at the Paramedic level and interfacility transports at the Critical Care Paramedic level. We are a combination career and volunteer department consisting of 6 career Paramedics and 38 paid per call volunteers. We only employ the most dedicated EMT’s and Paramedics willing to advance their skills and knowledge to better serve our community.
Monthly duties for paid per call personnel include attending business meetings and training sessions on the first two Wednesday’s of each month from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. Our paid per call members are required to be able to be scheduled a minimum of five 12-hour shifts or a total of 60 hours on call per month. Of the 60 hours, a total of 24 must be on weekends. Our shifts run from 6am to 6pm and 6pm to 6am.
